REFUND & RETURN POLICY

ApnaStuff — Buy • Sell • Discover
Last Updated: August 9, 2026

1. About This Refund & Return Policy

Welcome to ApnaStuff — Buy • Sell • Discover.

ApnaStuff is a C2C (Consumer-to-Consumer) and marketplace platform that allows users to list, discover, buy and sell products and services.

Unlike a traditional online store, ApnaStuff generally does not own, manufacture, stock, sell or directly supply the products listed by independent sellers.

The majority of transactions on ApnaStuff are conducted directly between:

Buyer ↔ Seller

Therefore, this Refund & Return Policy is designed specifically for a marketplace environment.

2. Important Marketplace Refund Principle

ApnaStuff does NOT provide an automatic refund guarantee for C2C transactions.

When a buyer purchases an item from another user:

  • The seller is responsible for the product.
  • The buyer is responsible for checking the product.
  • The buyer and seller are responsible for agreeing on transaction terms.
  • The buyer and seller are responsible for agreeing on return conditions.
  • The buyer and seller are responsible for arranging any refund.

ApnaStuff is the marketplace platform and is generally not the seller of the item.

Therefore, ApnaStuff does not automatically owe the buyer a refund for a transaction completed between two independent users.

3. Buyer and Seller Relationship

A transaction conducted through ApnaStuff is generally a private transaction between the buyer and seller.

The seller may establish their own:

  • Return policy
  • Exchange policy
  • Refund conditions
  • Warranty terms
  • Cancellation conditions
  • Delivery terms
  • Inspection requirements.

Buyers are strongly encouraged to discuss and confirm these terms before making payment.

4. Seller Responsibility for Refunds

If a seller agrees to provide a refund, the seller is responsible for completing the refund according to the agreement made with the buyer.

For example, a seller may agree to provide a refund if:

  • The item is significantly different from the listing.
  • The item is defective.
  • The wrong item was supplied.
  • The seller failed to disclose a major defect.
  • The seller agrees to accept a return.
  • The seller cancels the transaction.
  • The seller and buyer mutually agree to cancel the transaction.

The seller should clearly communicate the refund terms to the buyer before completing the transaction.

5. Buyer Responsibility Before Purchase

Because ApnaStuff is a marketplace, buyers should perform reasonable due diligence before purchasing.

Buyers are encouraged to:

  • Read the complete listing.
  • Review all photographs.
  • Read the product description.
  • Ask questions.
  • Contact the seller.
  • Verify the seller's identity where appropriate.
  • Inspect the item before payment where practical.
  • Verify ownership.
  • Verify authenticity.
  • Confirm condition.
  • Confirm price.
  • Confirm delivery arrangements.
  • Confirm return/refund conditions.

For high-value items, buyers should take additional precautions.

6. No Automatic "Change of Mind" Refund

Unless the seller has specifically agreed to accept returns, a buyer generally cannot demand a refund simply because they:

  • Changed their mind.
  • Found another product.
  • No longer need the item.
  • Do not like the item after purchase.
  • Purchased the wrong item.
  • Changed their budget.
  • Found the same item cheaper elsewhere.

Any such refund depends on the seller's agreed terms and applicable law.

7. Seller-Defined Return Policy

Where ApnaStuff provides sellers with the ability to specify return conditions, sellers may clearly state:

Returns Accepted

or

No Returns

or

Returns Accepted Within X Days

or other applicable conditions.

Sellers should ensure that their stated return policy is accurate and complies with applicable law.

8. Used Products

Many ApnaStuff listings may involve used or pre-owned products.

For used products, buyers should carefully inspect:

  • Physical condition
  • Functionality
  • Age
  • Wear and tear
  • Repairs
  • Replacement parts
  • Battery condition
  • Accessories
  • Original packaging
  • Warranty status.

A used product showing normal wear consistent with its description may not automatically qualify for a refund.

9. Products Significantly Different From Listing

A buyer may contact the seller and ApnaStuff if an item appears to be materially different from the listing.

Examples may include:

  • Completely different product
  • Materially different model
  • Major undisclosed damage
  • False condition description
  • Counterfeit product represented as genuine
  • Missing essential components
  • Product substantially different from photographs or description.

ApnaStuff may review the complaint and available evidence.

However, ApnaStuff does not guarantee that every complaint will result in a refund.

10. Defective Products

If a product is defective, the buyer should first contact the seller.

The seller may offer:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Exchange
  • Partial refund
  • Full refund
  • No refund where the defect was clearly disclosed.

The outcome may depend on:

  • Product condition
  • Listing description
  • Seller's return terms
  • Nature of the defect
  • Whether the defect existed before purchase
  • Evidence provided by the buyer.

11. Defects Disclosed Before Purchase

If a seller clearly discloses a defect before the buyer purchases the item, the buyer generally should not expect a refund based solely on that disclosed defect, subject to applicable law and the specific agreement between the parties.

For example:

"Screen has a small crack. Price reflects the condition."

If the buyer knowingly purchases the item with that disclosed condition, the seller may have grounds to reject a subsequent complaint concerning the same disclosed defect.

12. Misrepresentation

If a seller intentionally provides materially false information about an item, ApnaStuff may take action.

Potential examples include:

  • Selling a replica as an original.
  • Advertising a damaged vehicle as accident-free.
  • Advertising a non-working device as fully functional.
  • Providing false specifications.
  • Using photographs of a different product.
  • Hiding significant defects.

Possible platform action may include:

  • Listing removal
  • Account warning
  • Account restriction
  • Account suspension
  • Account termination
  • Investigation
  • Cooperation with lawful authorities where appropriate.

13. Counterfeit Products

Counterfeit or fraudulent products are prohibited where they violate applicable law or ApnaStuff policies.

If a buyer believes they received a counterfeit item, they should report the matter to ApnaStuff with supporting evidence.

ApnaStuff may investigate and take appropriate marketplace action.

Where appropriate, ApnaStuff may request:

  • Purchase evidence
  • Listing screenshots
  • Photographs
  • Product serial numbers
  • Authentication evidence
  • Seller communication
  • Payment evidence.

14. Vehicle Transactions

Vehicle transactions require special caution.

ApnaStuff does not automatically provide refunds for vehicle purchases.

Before purchasing a vehicle, buyers should independently verify:

  • Registration
  • Ownership
  • Chassis number
  • Engine number
  • Documentation
  • Tax status
  • Accident history
  • Mechanical condition
  • Legal status
  • Outstanding liabilities where applicable.

A buyer should conduct a professional inspection before completing a high-value vehicle transaction.

15. Property Transactions

Property transactions are high-value transactions and require independent legal and financial due diligence.

Buyers should verify:

  • Ownership
  • Title
  • Property documents
  • Approval status
  • Location
  • Development status
  • Outstanding dues
  • Taxes
  • Liabilities
  • Seller authority.

ApnaStuff does not guarantee property ownership or title.

Refunds relating to property transactions are primarily governed by the agreement between the parties and applicable law.

16. Services

For services listed on ApnaStuff, refund arrangements should be agreed between the customer and service provider before payment.

The parties should clarify:

  • Scope of service
  • Price
  • Completion date
  • Cancellation
  • Refund
  • Revision
  • Replacement
  • Service guarantee.

ApnaStuff is not automatically responsible for refunding service payments made directly to service providers.

17. Digital Products and Services

Where digital products or services are permitted, refund terms should be clearly stated by the seller or service provider before purchase.

Due to the nature of digital products, refunds may be subject to additional restrictions depending on:

  • Whether access has been provided
  • Whether the product has been downloaded
  • Whether the service has started
  • Seller's stated refund policy
  • Applicable law.

18. Payment Made Directly to Seller

If the buyer pays the seller directly through:

  • Cash
  • Bank transfer
  • Mobile wallet
  • Easypaisa
  • JazzCash
  • Bank deposit
  • Direct payment
  • Other payment method

the seller is primarily responsible for returning the money if a refund has been agreed.

ApnaStuff does not automatically control or hold such funds.

19. Cash Transactions

For cash transactions, buyers should obtain reasonable evidence of payment where practical.

Examples include:

  • Receipt
  • Written confirmation
  • Transaction message
  • Signed acknowledgement.

ApnaStuff cannot guarantee recovery of cash paid directly to another user.

20. Third-Party Payment Services

If ApnaStuff later introduces integrated payment processing, escrow or another transaction/payment system, separate payment and refund rules may apply.

Those rules may specify:

  • Refund eligibility
  • Refund timeframes
  • Cancellation
  • Chargebacks
  • Payment disputes
  • Processing fees
  • Escrow release.

Where such a system exists, the applicable transaction-specific terms will take priority over general marketplace provisions where appropriate.

21. ApnaStuff Platform Fees

If ApnaStuff charges sellers or users for:

  • Featured listings
  • Boosts
  • Advertising
  • Premium placement
  • Subscriptions
  • Listing packages
  • Other platform services

those fees are separate from the price paid for a product between buyer and seller.

A refund of the product purchase price does not automatically mean that an ApnaStuff promotional or listing fee will be refunded.

Specific paid-service refund terms may apply.

22. Listing Fees

Where applicable, listing fees may be:

Non-refundable once the listing or associated service has been activated, except where ApnaStuff determines otherwise or applicable law requires a refund.

If a paid listing service cannot be provided due to a technical or platform issue attributable to ApnaStuff, ApnaStuff may provide an appropriate remedy.

23. Featured Listing Fees

Payment for a featured listing or promotional placement does not guarantee:

  • A sale
  • A minimum number of views
  • A minimum number of inquiries
  • A specific ranking
  • A specific number of clicks.

Therefore, dissatisfaction with sales performance alone does not automatically qualify for a refund.

24. Fraudulent Transactions

If a buyer reports suspected fraud, ApnaStuff may investigate the account and listing.

Possible actions may include:

  • Removing the listing
  • Restricting the seller
  • Suspending the account
  • Requesting evidence
  • Preserving relevant information
  • Cooperating with lawful investigations.

However, investigation by ApnaStuff does not automatically mean ApnaStuff will reimburse the buyer.

25. Refunds for Fraud

If money was transferred directly to another user and the user is suspected of fraud, ApnaStuff may assist by:

  • Reviewing available platform information.
  • Recording the complaint.
  • Restricting the reported account.
  • Removing fraudulent listings.
  • Requesting information from the involved parties.
  • Providing information to competent authorities where legally appropriate.

However:

ApnaStuff does not guarantee recovery of money lost through a direct C2C transaction.

Users should report suspected fraud to the appropriate payment provider and relevant authorities as soon as possible.

26. Refund Request Process

If you believe a transaction should be refunded, we recommend the following process.

Step 1 — Contact the Seller

Contact the seller and clearly explain:

  • What happened
  • Why you are requesting a refund
  • What resolution you are requesting.

Step 2 — Preserve Evidence

Keep:

  • Listing screenshots
  • Product photographs
  • Seller messages
  • Payment evidence
  • Receipts
  • Delivery records
  • Relevant documents.

Step 3 — Contact ApnaStuff

If the seller refuses to cooperate or the matter involves suspected fraud, report the issue to:

Email: info@apnastuff.com

WhatsApp / Phone: +92 333 906 4999

Step 4 — ApnaStuff Review

ApnaStuff may review the available information and determine whether marketplace action is appropriate.

27. Information Required for a Complaint

When contacting ApnaStuff, provide as much information as possible:

  • Your name
  • Contact information
  • Listing URL
  • Listing ID, if available
  • Seller username
  • Seller contact information
  • Purchase date
  • Product information
  • Payment evidence
  • Screenshots
  • Photos/videos
  • Communication with seller
  • Description of the problem.

Incomplete information may delay the investigation.

28. Investigation Process

ApnaStuff may:

  1. Review the listing.
  2. Review available account information.
  3. Contact the seller.
  4. Request evidence.
  5. Review communication where lawfully available.
  6. Determine whether marketplace rules were violated.
  7. Take appropriate platform action.

ApnaStuff is not required to disclose confidential information about another user except where legally permitted or required.

29. ApnaStuff May Facilitate — But Does Not Guarantee — Resolution

ApnaStuff may attempt to facilitate communication between parties.

However, facilitation does not mean:

  • ApnaStuff becomes the seller.
  • ApnaStuff becomes financially responsible.
  • ApnaStuff guarantees a refund.
  • ApnaStuff guarantees replacement.
  • ApnaStuff guarantees a particular dispute outcome.

30. No Refund From ApnaStuff for Seller's Product

Unless expressly stated otherwise, ApnaStuff will not reimburse the purchase price of an item simply because a seller refuses to refund it.

This is because ApnaStuff generally does not receive or hold the purchase price in a standard C2C transaction.

31. When ApnaStuff May Provide a Refund

ApnaStuff may provide a refund only where the payment relates directly to an ApnaStuff service and the applicable service terms allow or require a refund.

For example:

  • An ApnaStuff subscription
  • A paid listing service
  • A promotional service
  • A platform fee
  • Another service directly purchased from ApnaStuff.

Such refunds will be considered according to the specific service terms.

32. Refund Method

Where ApnaStuff itself is responsible for issuing an approved refund, the refund may generally be processed through the original payment method or another reasonable method available to ApnaStuff.

Processing time may depend on:

  • Payment provider
  • Banking system
  • Payment method
  • Verification requirements.

33. Refund Processing Time

Where ApnaStuff approves a refund for an ApnaStuff-paid service, processing may take a reasonable period depending on the payment provider.

Bank or payment-provider processing times are outside ApnaStuff's direct control.

34. Partial Refunds

Where appropriate and legally permitted, a seller and buyer may agree to a partial refund.

Examples may include:

  • Minor undisclosed defect
  • Missing accessory
  • Partial service delivery
  • Agreed price adjustment.

ApnaStuff does not automatically determine the amount of a private C2C refund.

35. Exchange Instead of Refund

A seller may choose to offer:

  • Exchange
  • Replacement
  • Repair
  • Store credit
  • Partial refund

instead of a full refund, subject to the agreement with the buyer and applicable law.

36. Return Shipping

Unless otherwise agreed, the parties should establish who is responsible for return shipping before arranging a return.

Possible arrangements include:

  • Buyer pays return shipping.
  • Seller pays return shipping.
  • Costs are shared.
  • Seller arranges collection.

ApnaStuff does not automatically pay return shipping for C2C transactions.

37. Return Condition

If a seller agrees to accept a return, the seller may specify reasonable return conditions, subject to applicable law.

For example:

  • Item must be returned in substantially the same condition.
  • Original accessories must be included.
  • Original packaging may be required where specified.
  • Item must not have been intentionally damaged.
  • Serial numbers must match.

38. Buyer-Caused Damage

If a buyer damages an item after receiving it, the buyer may not necessarily be entitled to a refund.

Any dispute should be resolved between buyer and seller based on:

  • Condition at delivery
  • Evidence
  • Seller's policy
  • Transaction agreement
  • Applicable law.

39. Seller-Caused Cancellation

If a seller cancels a transaction after receiving payment and has agreed to provide a refund, the seller should return the applicable amount to the buyer.

ApnaStuff may take marketplace action where repeated cancellations or misleading listings violate platform policies.

40. Buyer-Caused Cancellation

If a buyer cancels a transaction after committing to purchase, the seller may accept or reject the cancellation depending on the agreed terms.

Any deposit or advance payment should be handled according to the agreement between the parties and applicable law.

41. Delivery Problems

If an item is:

  • Lost
  • Damaged
  • Delayed
  • Returned by courier
  • Delivered to the wrong address

the buyer should first contact the seller and relevant courier.

ApnaStuff is not automatically responsible for third-party delivery failures.

42. Wrong Item Delivered

If the seller sends a different item from the one purchased, the buyer should contact the seller immediately.

The seller may offer:

  • Correct item
  • Exchange
  • Return
  • Refund.

ApnaStuff may investigate where the matter involves suspected marketplace policy violations.

43. Missing Items or Accessories

If an item is missing an accessory that was explicitly included in the listing, the buyer should contact the seller.

The seller may:

  • Send the missing item
  • Offer a partial refund
  • Offer an exchange
  • Accept a return.

44. Refunds Are Not Guaranteed Through ApnaStuff

The existence of this Refund & Return Policy does not create an automatic money-back guarantee for C2C transactions.

The purpose of this policy is to explain:

  • Who is responsible for refunds.
  • How buyers can report problems.
  • How sellers should handle agreed refunds.
  • How ApnaStuff can assist with marketplace complaints.
  • When ApnaStuff may refund its own fees.

45. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Refund & Return Policy is intended to remove, restrict or waive any mandatory rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

Pakistan's current e-commerce policy work specifically contemplates clearer digital consumer rights around returns, refunds and dispute resolution, while also distinguishing platform and seller responsibilities.

Where applicable law provides a consumer with a mandatory right, that right will prevail over any conflicting provision of this policy.

46. Marketplace Transparency

ApnaStuff aims to provide users with clear information regarding:

  • Seller identity where applicable
  • Listing information
  • Product description
  • Price
  • Contact options
  • Marketplace rules
  • Complaint procedures.

Pakistan's Ministry of Commerce marketplace code materials specifically discuss seller information and complaint-handling mechanisms for online marketplaces.

47. Seller Best Practices

ApnaStuff strongly recommends that sellers clearly state:

Return Policy:
Returns accepted / Returns not accepted

Refund Policy:
Full refund / Partial refund / No refund

Return Period:
For example, 3 days / 7 days / No returns

Condition:
Product must be returned in original condition.

Return Shipping:
Buyer / Seller / Shared

Clear terms can significantly reduce disputes between buyers and sellers.

48. Buyer Best Practices

Before paying for an item, buyers should ask:

  1. Is the item available?
  2. Is the item original?
  3. What is its exact condition?
  4. Are there any defects?
  5. Does it have a warranty?
  6. What is the seller's return policy?
  7. Is the price final?
  8. Who pays delivery?
  9. What happens if the item is damaged?
  10. Will the seller provide a refund if the item is materially different from the listing?

49. High-Risk Transactions

For expensive transactions, ApnaStuff strongly recommends additional verification.

This includes:

  • Vehicles
  • Property
  • Machinery
  • Business assets
  • Expensive electronics
  • Jewelry
  • Luxury products.

Do not rely solely on photographs or online conversations.

50. Scam Prevention

ApnaStuff will never require users to:

  • Share passwords
  • Share OTP codes
  • Send cryptocurrency to unlock refunds
  • Pay suspicious "release fees"
  • Provide banking credentials to another user
  • Install unknown software to receive a payment.

Users should be cautious of anyone claiming to be an ApnaStuff employee and requesting sensitive information.

51. Chargebacks

If a transaction is processed through a third-party payment provider, users must follow that provider's applicable dispute and chargeback rules.

Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in account restrictions where permitted by applicable law and payment-provider rules.

52. Changes to This Refund Policy

ApnaStuff may update this Refund & Return Policy from time to time.

Updates may be made due to:

  • New marketplace features
  • Payment integration
  • Changes in business operations
  • Legal requirements
  • Consumer-protection requirements
  • New transaction systems.

The latest version will be published on this page.

53. Contact ApnaStuff

54. Final Marketplace Refund Statement

Important:

ApnaStuff is a marketplace, not the seller of products listed by independent users.

For standard C2C transactions:

Buyer → Seller → Product

The seller is primarily responsible for the product and any refund agreed with the buyer.

ApnaStuff → Marketplace Platform

ApnaStuff provides the marketplace infrastructure, listing tools, communication features and marketplace moderation.

ApnaStuff does not automatically guarantee refunds for products purchased from independent sellers.

However, ApnaStuff may investigate complaints, take action against violating users, remove fraudulent listings, restrict accounts and assist users where reasonably possible.

Where a payment is made directly to ApnaStuff for an ApnaStuff service, any refund will be handled according to the applicable service-specific refund terms.
